Train Station
Why do you think the Department of Transportation will not support a train stop in Oconomowoc? Is there more to the story than the new Mayor raising questions? How did city officials arrive at a $30 million figure to build a rail station? The state was willing to pay $5 million. Why would a building to hold waiting passangers in a small town cost $30 million? Why does every discussion about downtown development in Oconomowoc concern parking? Do you have trouble finding parking?
If you are the Mayor and own two taverns near the historic train station wouldn't you support a train stop across from one of your taverns?

No Wake On Lac LaBelle
The water level on the lake is higher than last week as less water is being released over the dam into the river and more water is coming into Lac LaBelle from upstream. Take a look at the photos. The main beach is still closed.

New Mayor Marches In
We now have a mayor name Daley just like Chicago. Incumbent Sullivan is out and tavern owner Jim Daley is in...in a close contest. Apparently people weren't too happy with Sullivan's results lately.
