Big Storm

A big storm blew in before 5a.m. this morning toppling my neighbors 30 foot pine and splitting a large branch on our maple. Two chains saws made removing the debris fairly painless.

It has arrived. April. Shoulder Season. Kinda of a tweener. Too warm for winter sports, too cold for spring sports, or too windy, rainy and cold for biking etc. Muddy, bloody muddy - April. Hail, rain, snow, wind gusts to 35. And then the sun shone today and that was good.

84 Degrees

Just the other day there was snow visible at Olympia Ski Hill and a little ice on some bays on some local lakes; now it is a roaster. Canoes and kayaks are everywhere it seems - some atop cars and trucks or in rivers and lakes. Hang on, storm coming.
