Boat Fire

A boat burned Sunday at the dock at City Beach Sunday on Lac La belle, according to a lifeguard. A pier burned and police tape encircled the area. Lukily no one was seriously hurt. Black smoke billowed during the blaze. Search Channel 12 slideshow for photos.

Kayak Rental

We rented a tandem kayak at City Beach on Labor Day and toured Lac La Belle. This is a great bargain for area residents. For just $5 an hour you can rent a single or double kayak or a canoe. It costs just a bit more for non-Oconomowoc City residents. Unfortunately the rental program ended on Labor Day but remember this opportunity for next year. Brennan's Market Opens

Brennan's Market opens today in Oconomowoc at the corner of Hwy B and 67. Brennan's is known for their quality produce, cheese, wine and other speciality items. Construction makes it a liitle tricky to navigate however if you turn east from Hwy 67 into the Pabst Farms Shopping area you can then make a left turn and cross Hwy B.

It will be interesting to see how Pick N Save, Brennan's and Aldi's compete with each other and offer locals a wide variety of items to choose from.

Fireworks Set For Saturday Night

There will be fireworks and a boat parade Saturday night August 15th at 9PM. The fireworks originally scheduled for last Sunday were postponed due to weather.

Festival Week

Festival week, which includes a street dance, Maxwell Street Days, Old Mail Boat Tours, Fireworks and an Art Fair get underway this weekend in Oconomowoc. The street dance is Saturday night downtown.
